WOMEN’s FELLOWSHIP
As said in Isaiah 60:1
Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee.
WESLEYAN WOMEN’S FELLOWSHIP
Prior to the formation of the Church of South India it was called as “Mother’s Union”, after the inauguration of C.S.I it has been named as “Women’s Fellowship” which was founded in 1948 in the CSI, Sister Carol Graham distinguished missionary was the first General Secretary.
WTC Women’s Fellowship is one of the active section of the Church and actively involved in various activities such as Prayer and Worship, Bible Study , Monthly Fellowship Meetings, and as Outreach ministry Visiting the Sick and needy, Cottage Prayer meetings participating in KCD Area Women’s meetings, Virshanthinilayam Annul meets, Inter Church Women’s Fellowship events, this year in August 2022 as the part of WTC Bicentenary Celebration we had the blessed privilege of Organizing Inter Church Events – Bible Quiz, Fancy Dress Competition, Cooking Without fire etc., more than 350 Women from different Churches are participated.
We also participate in the Church events at the time of Harvest Festival we organize Food Stall, Donate Gold Articles for Auction the proceeds will be given to Church as our Offering, we also conduct Love feast ever year December second Saturday for Poor and needy Widows, at that time we will share the Good News of Christ’s Birth through Songs, Skits and Message the feast will conclude with Fellowship Dinner. At this time we fondly remember the dedicated members who served as Secretaries and leaders who are strived hard for the Growth of the WTC Women’s Fellowship
Some of the names are: Sister Grace Aaran, Miss. R.E Roper, Miss Rogerson, Miss W Taylor who rendered their valuable services by nurturing the Women Fellowship. Some of the members of our Church leaders who worked hard for the development of WTC Women’s Fellowship are : Mrs. H Edwin, Mrs.C.T Paul, Mrs Devasundram, Mrs. Susan Samson, Mrs Rajamani Daniel, Mrs.Benjamin Israel, Mrs.Kokila Paul, Mrs.Sulochana David, Mrs Vimala Christopher, Mrs.Selvakumari George Reuben, Mrs.Betsheba Neson Howard, though these dedicated God’s Children are entered into Eternity we fondly remember their dedicated hard services for the Growth of Women Fellowship. We pray that God will enable us to continue the noble service of WTC Women’s Fellowship for HIS Glory.
