WESLEYAN Men’s Society

The unique feature of the Wesley Tamil Church Haines Road is it’s one of the entity which is  pertinently named as “Men Society”.

The veteran  and founder members of Men Society are Late Mr John Phillips, Late Rev John Moses, Late Mr John Zacharia, Late Mr C T Paul, Late Mr John Devasagayam,  Late Mr John Gideon, Late Mr Paul David, Late Mr John Peter, Late Mr Ezekial.

The ministry undertaken by Men Society is to reach out to the needy and to the bereaved families of the Church and stand by them consoling comforting  through prayer, Song and Bible reading., the other activities include regular meeting of the  members, evangelistic outreach, hospital visit and actively involving in Church functions and the main ministry is the Carol visit during Christmas time, the proceeds of the freewill offering of these visits are earmarked and used for various ministries  –  visits to the Orphanage, Home for aged, Slum Children and to the remote village and places to share the Good News of Christmas through songs, skits and message, gifts and eatables.

These are the dedicated activities carried out by Men Society, though the present activity is confined to only “Carol Visit” we hopefully planning to review the noble activities ventured by the  veteran founders and former members of the Men Society.

We pray that God will enable and strengthen us to continue in the commitment and concern of the Men Society founders and will enlarge with much more strength and march forward as God’s Committed Soldiers for HIS Glory.
